Banana Cake with Peanut Butter Frosting

The last time I remember eating Banana cake was when my friend baked it at 3am hungover and it just tasted sooo gooood. As I had 2 bananas lying around I wasn't exactly going to let them go to waste and rather then making my usual grilled banana and peanut butter sandwich which is lushhh, I decided on banana cake adding my own twist peanut butter frosting as I just can't get enough of peanut butter.  

Banana Cake Ingredients:

Serves roughly 10 

125g butter 

150g caster sugar

1tsp vanilla extract 

1 egg beaten 

2 ripe bananas mashed

190g self raising flour

60ml milk 

Peanut Butter Frosting Ingredients: 

1 cup of peanut butter smooth or crunchy 

2tbsp butter 

3tbsp milk 

1tsp vanilla extract 

2tbsp cream cheese

2tbsp milk 

Preparation Method

Prep: 10mins  Cook: 35mins

1. Grease and line a 2lb loaf tin (I used a baking tray). Melt butter, sugar and vanilla in a saucepan over a medium heat. 

2. Remove from heat and add the mashed bananas, mix well.

3 . Add egg, mix well. 

4. Stir in the flour and milk. 

5. Pour into the prepared tin and sprinkle with a tsp of demerara sugar to give a crunch topping (optional) 

6. Bake at 150 degrees fan oven for 35 minutes until skewer comes out clean. 

7. Take out of oven and allow to cool on wire rack whilst making frosting. 

8. To make frosting combine all the ingredients into a bowl and whisk until light and fluffy. 

9. Frost cake and cut into pieces (although I found it easier to cut first and frost individually)

Nothing like an oreo milkshake

12 Oreo Cookies

4 Soops of Vanilla Ice cream

2 Cups of Semi-Skimmed milk

As I am on a strict healthy eating regime a once in a while indulgence is necessary and no matter how you mix vanilla ice cream with oreo's you know it will taste goood!

The Bitches you Love to Hate!

Rosie Fortescue and Victoria Baker-Harber have caused great controversy on Twitter. Haters started tweeting the pair after episode 2 and 3 of Made in Chelsea aired. Victoria was first attacked when she slagged off Caggie Dunlop's outfit on the show. She described her ensemble which consisted of a jacket over a hoodie as looking like she stepped out of boot camp. Victoria probably doesn't realise that the majority of viewers dress like this so therefore see Caggie as some sort of role model. Jealous much because Caggie looks good in anything? I think so. 

The hatred for the pair grew in episode 2 . Millie who has been working as an intern for some time in Glamour magazine found out from Victoria who happened to bump into her that Rosie was applying for the position of editor in the same magazine. First she insulted Millie by saying her intern job is basically slavery at the bottom of the food chain. Then she says "Rosie has applied for a proper job". Working as an intern is a proper job just how ignorant are you Victoria. So Victoria apart from living off daddy's plastic what job do you have? at least Millie is trying to make a name for herself. 

What struck me most was the fact that Rosie was completely oblivious to the fact that she is clearly jealous of Millie and trying to be her. "I feel like I just want to move on with my life but Millie is always in the way" well of course she's 'in the way' as by moving on with your life you mean try to take over Millie's. First she sleeps with Millie's boyfriend behind her back and denies it, then when Millie tries to reach out to Rosie even though it wasn't her place to reach out she completely throws it back in her face and now shes taking Millie's job. 

They are both complete and utter ignorant obnoxious snobs. I would have given them the benefit of the doubt as there are some parts of Made in Chelsea that are scripted, like Jersey Shore, just to add to the drama but Rosie and Victoria's twitter tweets to their haters have proved that they are in fact ignorant obnoxious immature snobs off camera as they are on. 

Victoria who tweeted how people shouldn't take things on Made in Chelsea so seriously then had the audacity to say to various people 

"You look like a phone-box hooker." 
"you are a freakshow trying to look like rihanna circa 2011" 
"Woohoo! And you're a f loser for having a tv show name as a username." 

Pot calling the kettle black much. Very classy, mature and professional Victoria.

Move over Pixie Lott its all about Made in Chelsea's star Millie Mackintosh

Lipsy have made a wise decision in choosing to replace Pixie Lott with Millie Mackintosh as the face of their company. I always thought Pixie Lott was overrated, nothing special in my opinion. I just didn't feel Pixie Lott was right for the role as she is the English equivalent to Taylor Momsen with her L.A Trash style. She gave off a somewhat 'Cheap' vibe, a style more appropriate for a shop like Jane Norman which specialises in  bum-skimming skirts, low cut tops, fishnets and strappy leather. Items all found in Pixie Lott's wardrobe. I believe she could make better use of herself posing for Ann Summers or to go one step further playboy, companies that could make use of her glamour model looks. Millie Mackintosh on the other hand injects an elegant and chic vibe to Lipsy bringing it from the chavy Only Way is Essex standards to the classy Made in Chelsea.

7 Deadly Sins of Beauty Tag

After watching MissGlamorazzi's latest video I figured I'd jump on the bandwagon by doing this tag. I wasn't tagged to do this but watevs that wasn't exactly going to stop me as this is just for fun and I just love the concept.

1. GREED: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?

I'm not sure whether this question is talking about value or talking about how much was spent. As the question didn't specify, I guess I'm bending around the rules, so I'm going to go with how much was spent. Therefore my answer to "What is your most inexpensive  beauty item" is my YSL Touche Eclat complexion highlighter as I received this as a gift :P  

My most expensive beauty item would have to be my 100ml bottle of Miss Dior Cherie. 

2. WRATH: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with?

Definitely my Rimmel Foundation in 200 Soft Beige because it makes my face look flawless when I have a tan however when my tan fades I don't like wearing it as it makes my face look pinky orange - not a good look. 

3. GLUTTONY: What are your most delicious beauty products?

My Sephora Chocolate Toffee Body Butter is without a doubt my all time favourite body butter as the scent is just so divine I could get high sniffing it. Plus it lingers on me all day which makes we want to lick myself. 

N-Spa Hot Butter Fudge Sugar Body Polish - Another product which should be made edible because the smell is just so orgasmic 

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub - lucky for me this smells just as good as it tastes! Literally, as after you've left it on for 2 minutes you can lick it off mmm 

 4. SLOTH: What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?

L'Oreal Studio Silk and Gloss Hot Sraight Spray simply because I don't actually straighten my hair as my hair is already naturally straight therefore which is why I prefer to curl my hair on a regular basis. So really I would only use this on rare occasions if I was to blow dry my hair and leave it natural  

5. PRIDE: What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?

My V05 High Volume Extra Strong Hold Hairspray. Nothing worse then the wind raping my hair. 

 6. LUST: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?

Ian Somerhalder say no more. 

7. ENVY: What items would you most like to receive as a gift?

Chanel. I'm in desperate need of some Chanel.
