The Angels Arrive

FINALLY!!! Victoria's Secret is coming to London this summer with a store opening up on New Bond Street. I have been waiting pretty long for this day to come so to say I am excited is an understatement. Seems I'm not the only one feeling the summer as Victoria's Secret has already launched it's 2012 swimwear collection. The fact that it's opening in the summer means I will be able to get my hands on their stunning swimwear.

Bath time with LUSH!

Went shopping to Westfield yesterday and stopped off at Lush of course where I picked up a few goodies. One of them included my all time favourite Sex Bomb Bath Ballistic.

"Drop into a pre-run bath for a sensual, pink, fizzy, jasmine-scented soak"

Nothing like a long, and when I say long I mean lonnng (2 hours), relaxing bath with lush. I just love how the smell lingers on me afterwards.

Ways to avoid looking like a walking advert for tango

Let's start with the F word shall we? and no I'm not talking about Gordon Ramsey's kitchen I am in fact talking about foundation. The whole point of foundation is to create a flawless, picture perfect finish. So be sure to apply it in light layers to avoid looking like the top of a birthday cake. When choosing your foundation make sure to pick a colour that melts into your skin tone. Whatever you do don't pick a colour that's ten times darker otherwise you'll end up looking like Jack o lantern. I mean fair enough if you're going for that orange look, but a kind word of advice... if a guy wanted to date an orange he would rather turn to his fruit bowl instead just saying. The same applies to those who pick a colour ten times lighter then their natural skin tone. Why anyone would want to look like they haven't stepped foot in the sun for almost 5 years is beyond me.

If you're feeling rather pale however then that is where the bronzer and self-tanner come in. Understand that the whole point is to make it look like you've caught a natural tan and not like you've caked yourself in mud. Make sure when applying the self-tanner you rub it in properly to avoid looking like a candy cane as streakiness is not a good look for anyone.
Personally I would never apply fake tan myself I would stick to a professional as I know it would come out looking uneven which is why I stick to gradual tanning moisturiser for it helps gradually build and maintain a light natural looking tan.

The two all time favourite self-tanner's I swear by are:

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Natural Bronze Gradual Tan Lotion 250ML

"This creamy, moisturising lotion, with a special combination of pure Cocoa Butter and Vitamin E, is the perfect way to keep your skin beautiful and soft with a natural looking glow.
With just a touch of self tanner, Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Natural Bronze creates a delicate, sun kissed, summer glow all year long. Gradually build a subtle tan within a few days, while deeply moisturising your skin. From fair to medium to dark, control the intensity of your skin tone all year round."

Dove Summer Glow Daily Face Moisturiser

"Gradually builds a beautiful light summer tan."

No surprise she's the face of 'Guess'

So recently decided to watch 'The Rum Diary' online as I love Johnny Depp films, kinda late watching it I know but whatevs, and gotta say I was a lil disappointed. I mean it wasn't that bad but I felt the movie dragged on at times and the ending to me just seemed incomplete. The trailer seemed way better then the actual film.

But all that can be forgiven because Amber Heard who played Chenault in the film looked beyond stunning which actually made me rather depressed. The same way I get when watching the Victoria Secret Fashion Shows. Those bitchesss.  But at the same time motivates me to stick to my diet.

I just love the glamorous vintage Hollywood style she's got going on.

NOTD:- Leopard Print

So I don't actually paint my nails everyday despite my last post suggesting otherwise, I've just been rather bored lately being stuck at home on study leave and all that. As I am obsessed with Leopard Print I thought what better way to paint my nails then just that.
Bdw I am actually tanned so excuse the flash for making my skin tone resemble that of a cullen.

NOTD - Rouge Noir

Ok so it's not exactly 'Chanel - Rouge Noir' which is a pricey £17.50 but a cheaper alternative of £2.99. This sexy shade of '115 Red Black' by Barry M makes the perfect dupe. My only problem however is it needs a good 3 coats I only applied 2 which is why I decided to go over the top with 'L.A. Colors - Sassy Sparkle'. I think it gives it more of a girly rather then vampy feel.

Oscar de la Renta Spring/Summer 2012

Pastels for spring? how ground breaking. When I heard designers were incorporating pastels and florals in their collections I thought could that be anymore of a cliche? Then after purchasing my February issue of Vogue I put my skepticism aside and realised it was genius. From Dolce and Gabbana to Louis Vuitton, Dior, Giorgio Armani and Carolina Herrera, all the collections had a fresh upbeat look that went beyond the stereotype of sickly-sweet shades. Instead there was a subtler pastel palette with icy alternatives like glacier blue, spearmint green, bitter lemon and damask rose. By far the winner for me was Oscar de la Renta. His collection was simply stunning, it had an air of bohemian sensuality c'est magnifique.
